I don’’t know if Takoma park can be consider4ed an quotother.quot The Main Street area has not been developed to offer a fraction of what the ather towns above offer. Quantity is not as important as quality. And while Takoma Park has suceeded at remain small, they have failed at establish a quality offering of services. Each of the areas you list offer quality resturants and unique shopping experiences. Thrift shops are not a very attractive offering for visitors. The most common question by friends visiting our Takoma Park Home - What do you guys do around here? Our answer- go to DC, Silver Spring, Bethesda. We bought the myth when we moved to Takoma Park - Now we are living the unfortunate reality - a dead town- and we are considering moving to a community where you can actually walk to quality services.
